Unveiling the Creative Journey
Breathing Life into Imagination
For the Solumag Night commercial, we produced a FOOH video that presents a captivating, fairytale-like visual journey. By blending live-action footage with advanced CGI techniques, we created an enchanting, dreamlike atmosphere.
The video begins with a panoramic nighttime view of Athens, highlighting Lycabettus Hill in the background and the gentle illumination of the full moon softly bathing the city in light. This scene was meticulously captured to preserve authenticity, later seamlessly enhanced with digital effects. Up to this point, everything appears natural. At the heart of our visual narrative is the “Moon Coverer,” a mysterious figure who appears atop the glowing moon, carefully spreading a sheet that gradually covers part of its surface. Partly to dim the city’s light, and partly to cover the moon—just as a parent tenderly covers a child before sleep—this character similarly tucks the city in for the night.
To achieve realistic motion for the “Moon Coverer,” we combined precise studies of actual human movements with digital simulations. By carefully analyzing the biomechanics involved when covering a large object and observing the natural interaction of fabric with surfaces, we translated this authentic motion into our digital character.
As the scene unfolds, the partially covered moon smoothly and purposefully transforms into the distinctive crescent shape found on the Solumag Night packaging. This seamless transition bridges the fairytale atmosphere with tangible reality, elegantly guiding viewers from the surreal narrative of the FOOH video to the final product reveal.
Through the engaging storytelling of this Solumag Night FOOH video, crafted specifically for World Sleep Day, we effectively communicate our core message: “Say goodnight to whatever keeps you awake”.
